How Do Drugs Cause Crime?

There are many obvious reasons that can endorse the view that drugs are one of the prime reasons of spreading crime. The first reason you can cite is the cost of the drugs. As all the drugs that people use are very costly, most of the people are unable to buy them with the money they have. But the urge to take the drug make them find some ways to get money to finance their drug taking habit. Committing a crime is one of the obvious job they think that can finance their habit as in it they can snatch money from others and ran away to pay the bill for their drug.
      
There are some other reasons also that can be cited as the reason for the spread of crime and it is related to drugs. In most of the countries drug is an illegal thing and to get them one has to contact some people who are in illegal trade. So obviously you are making connection with the criminals and in consequence involving yourself in crime.
