What Is Chiropractic Medicine?

Answer Question

The term Chiropractic is derived from the Greek word meaning 'practice by the hands'. The concept was formalized by Daniel David Palmer, who hypothesized that the misalignment of spinal chord causes the illness in such a way that the vertebrae encroached upon the spinal nerve affect the corresponding organs and muscles. As the vertebrae get dislocated, it leads to the constriction of the spinal nerve, hence leading to the inadequate supply of information to the brain cell – this inevitably results into dysfunction of the body's regulatory system. This situation can only be resolved and the body gets strengthened whence the neural transmission can only be restored. The treatment is characterized by the identification and realignment of the deviated vertebrae by shifting it into the proper location. A single treatment may solve the issue or a series of treatments may be required depending on the severity of the problem.
