Depending on the methods used for a swab test, the way that you used the drug, and again your metabolism, a swab test can detect cocaine in saliva for anywhere from 1-10 days after use.  The reason this happens is because snorting cocaine or smoking crack cocaine accumulate the parent drug in the oral cavity, and being as cocaine is a water soluble drug, it is readily absorbed into the lining of the mouth.  Practice good oral hygene, this can slightly reduce the detection period of cocaine in an oral swab test.  In an IV user of cocaine, there is no residual buildup of cocaine in the oral cavity, so detection time closely mimics that of blood, in which case the detection window would be around 2-4 days.  I have first hand knowledge of these time to be tested and true through my own personal experience and research.  The best way to pass a Drug screen, is to remain drug free in general, But again these times are fairly accurate.
