Any load of laundry is ALWAYS off balance by a little. It's usually enough to cause vibration.

The vibration is really violent. Load has been adjusted and makes no difference.

It's probably a bad bearing . Time to call the repairman or buy a new one.

Your load may not be off balance, but your washer is!  All washers have adjustable 'feet screws' in the front bottom corners of the machine that can adjust to balance the washer.

Excessive vibration and noise may be for the following causes: Machine not level, jam nuts missing or loose, noisy transmition, clutch bearings worn, clutch shoes worn, or the motor shaft bent.
