How Did Jonathan Ross Start His Career On The Television?

    Jonathan Ross began his television career behind the camera working as a researcher for the Channel 4 show, Loose Talk. His first breakthrough came when in collaboration with Alan Marke, he produced the show The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross (1987); the show was Ross' first attempt as a presenter and the theme a la the American show Late Night with David Letterman was well received by the audience.

    He followed it up with a documentary series The Incredibly Strange Film Show and presented the British Comedy Awards first in 1991 becoming the presenter of the annual awards ever since.

    He kept busy with several assignments like being a panelist on the sports quiz show They Think It's All Over as well as hosting the game show It's Only TV…But I Like It, a quiz show on BBC called Gagtag, and The Big Big Talent Show, and a variety show Saturday Zoo on Channel 4. At present he hosts his very own chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and Film 2006, on BBC One.
