What Are The Pro And Cons Of Plasma Tv Versus An LCD Tv?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Plasma's and LCD are both good, but, plasma rates better for me. This is because it has 170 degree viewing angles, which means you don't see fade out picture when viewing on an angle. Lcd's do have the black fade picture on viewing angles. The best plasma to get would be the one's that support hdmi input or built in hd tuner. The higher resolution picture supports the best picture. 1366 by 768 is a high definition viewing picture, but 1080 by 1920 is the best picture available at the moment and gives the best picture. Plasma has a lamp life of 60,000 hours which is long life. That would be 20 years if you watched it for 8 hours a day or so. Both tv types have pixels if they are not connected to a high definition set top box or do not have an in built high definition tuner. Experts say to get lcd if you are looking for a smaller TV and get a plasma if you want larger viewing. Hope this has helped.
