    Cromwell Hospital is a well-known hospital in England. It is a multi-speciality hospital that falls under the purview of the private sector in the United Kingdom. It is located in the area of South Kensington. South Kensington is an upmarket locality situated in the British capital. The Cromwell Hospital was established on April 29 in the year 1981.

    Cromwell Hospital is easily recognisable to fans of British soccer as the hospital where former Northern Ireland and Manchester United legend George Best died, and to lovers of South Asian popular music (especially those belonging to the Indian sub-continent) as the place where the famous Pakistani Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan breathed his last.

    George Best was born in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, on May 22, 1946 and died due to a kidney infection at the age of 59 on November 25, 2005. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, the noted exponent of the Sufi style of devotional music known as the Qawwali, was born in Faisalabad, Pakistan on October 13, 1948 and died of a cardiac arrest at the age of 48 on August 16, 1997.
