It depends what are u asking exactly. If u mean native speakers then ofc its mandarin chinese cuz there are over 1.3 billion people in China atm.  Thats why 99.9% of the people that actually speak mandarin are actually chinese, not many other people outside china speak it unless they're chinese themselves. You dont have to be Einstein to figure that one out. But if you`re asking which language is the most popular and widely spread overall as 2nd or even 3rd language then its definitely English. Over 3 billion people know at least some basics which qualifies it as knowledge. Good luck going to Turkey for instance and asking something in Mandarin lol.
