Skirts are pretty simple and easy to make, simple because a number of designs and sizes can be used to make a skirt. A skirt can be made of denim, cotton, wool, velvet, silk or rayon. A simple straight stitch is used for skirts with an elastic band and is simple and easier to make then with a sewn in waistband in which case one will need button holes or zippers. Skirts can be made to have anywhere between two to twelve patters with two pattern skirts being the easiest to make. It is important that the stitching used in the skirt be neat and tidy. A zipper can also be added to the side and this makes it look very trendy. Skirts can be made as circle or full skirts as well.
