A prorated warranty actually does
not cover the entire cost in case there are some problems. Depending on how old
the item is, a percentage of the replacement costs is reimbursed. This means
that if the defect becomes evident after use then the client will be required
to pay a portion of the original price to get it replaced depending on how long
it has been used.
