Yes, if you're including salt water lakes, the Caspian is the world's largest lake, both in terms of volume and surface area.

The largest fresh water lake in the world by volume is the Bakail (Siberia)--it contains approximately 20% of the earth's fresh surface water.  The world's largest fresh water lake by surface is Lake Superior, located in the USA.
