Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are two Grainvilles in France, while one is called Grainville-Langannerie and the other is Grainville-sur-Odon. Both are communes or towns in France and while the former is located in the district or departement of Calvados, the other is ironically also in the district or departement of Calvados. The region they are located in is called the Basse-Normadie region and it lies in the center north of France. Grainville-sur-Odon in French means Grainville on the Odon because the commune is situated on the banks of the Odon River.

The population of Grainville-Langannerie is a little over five and a half thousand while Grainville-sur-Odon has a population nearing nine thousand nine hundred. Grainville-Langainnerie is at an altitude of four hundred feet above sea level and Grainville-sur-Odon is at two hundred and fifty nine feet.
