    Doniford Bay is located in the county of Somerset. It is located to the north of the county along its northern coastline. The nearest town is Watchet and is at a distance of about three kilometres. Nearest city is Bridgewater and nearest port is Poole at a distance of twenty six and a hundred and thirty eight kilometres respectively.

    Doniford Bay is very popular amongst tourists, especially caravan campers. Several caravan related amenities are provided by establishments doing business in the area. They rent out, sell, and provide accommodation in caravan homes.

    Doniford Bay is also famous for its fossils and ammonites or remains of marine invertebrates that are now extinct. The area around the town of Watchet especially Doniford Bay is known for its fossil remains. Doniford Beach is composed in places of glutinous mud and this is most often hidden by sand.

    Doniford Bay is also known for the Haven Holiday Camp an impressive resort for families.
