What Is Mentoring? Please Describe Briefly.

    A mentor is someone in the organization, usually older, more experienced and in a high level position, who sponsors or supports another employee who is in a low level position in the organization. A mentor can teach, guide and encourage. Some organizations have formal motoring programs but even if your organization does not motoring is an important skill for you to develop. You can be more effective if you use the following six suggestions as you mentor another person. Communicate honest and openly with your juniors. If your junior is going to learn from you can get benefit.

    Communicate with your juniors with honestly and openly. They are going to learn from your experience and knowledge. So this is a two way process between you and your juniors where you share your experiences and bring up the failures as well as the success. Encourage open and honest communication with your juniors. You need to know as the mentors what you juniors what to gain and learn from you. Treat the relationship with the juniors as a learning opportunity.  Do not pretend to have all the knowledge and answers you can give of their questions.  So in this way you can be a good mentor.
