Why Do I Keep Getting Friend Requests From People I Don’t Know On Myspace?

This could be for a number of reasons. If you have a friend on your friends list who has lots of friends then people from their list will be able to view your profile and add you as a friend. Also, there are bands on Myspace who like to build up their profile by adding people to their friends list, so if you have a friend who has a band on their profile, then it is likely you will receive a friend request from that particular band.

Myspace allows people to search for users who live in their local area, so if there's a DJ or radio host on Myspace from your area and you come up in their search, then they will visit your profile and send you a request.

Of course, you are not obliged to accept these requests. It is entirely up to you! If you receive hassle from anyone who you have accepted as a friend, then delete them from your list, visit their profile and block them, and they won't bother you again!

If you wish to build up a body of friends yourself, then by all means accept the requests. After all, if you accept a request from a local band or nightclub owner, then there may be discounted tickets in it for you!
