    What Is Cushioning As It Relates To A Dogs Adrenal System?

    My dog has saliva stains on her feet and face and very thin hair on her back. I recently adopted her. She is a Maltese/poodle and is between 6-9 years old.

    Yes, Cushing's disease is occurs when the adrenal glands produce too much cortisol because of pituitary brain tumor secreting too much Adrenocorticotropic hormone. Tumor in adrenal gland can also be a reason behind this all. Symptoms of this disease are:

    Increased thirst
    Increased urination
    Increased hunger is another sign for many dogs with this illness
    Muscular weakness
    Hair loss on both sides of the body
    High blood pressure
    Thinning of the skin
    Fat deposits in the liver
    Calcium deposits in the skin
    Plugged hair follicles underside.

    It will have to under go life time medication if it has been suffering from this disease. Take it to vet immediately.
