Can You Help With My Computer Identifying That It Has A CDrom And DVD Drive?

My 'puter recognizes that it has the correct drivers for its CD and DVD drives, but it can not recognize the fact that it has the actual hardware installed. What to do. I've check and recheck the connections and rebooted loads of times. Nothing. Please give suggestions, KC

My computer has up to date drivers and recognizes this. It just can't find the actual devices.

you can also try runing a good reg cleaner. go to www.zdnet.com in the search box type abexo reg cleaner. download and run the free edition.

you can also try start, settings, control panel, system, hardware, device manager. and look at your devices and see which ones have a yellow mark by them indicating an error or bad driver. the driver site I gave you works really well.
