Ringworm infections usually clear up about a week after starting

treatment. Ringworm is a skin infection caused by a fungus. It usually

is pretty mild and responds well to treatment with the anti fungal

cream. The area of the ring worm should be covered as not to spread the

infection to someone else. Once the ring like area heals it should no longer be contagious.
