Is It Better To Look Good... Or To Be Good?

Well i think to be good is more important then To Look Good. Many people who wants to look good is just because they want to be popular among others and they wont get any fame if they are not good towards other.

If you are good to others then you will not only get fame but automatically people will praise you ---- indirectly you look good----- and secondly what every you are thinking or what ever you are from inside will automatically comes on your face.

so be nice and good to others so that you look good.

I agree with those who say being good is more important.  I have no use for those who look good on the outside and inside are rotten.  IMO, they are, at best.. Superficial and shallow, and at worst.. Absolute phonies.

We had some folks who came by our plant once a week, collecting the trash because they had a little home business going recycling stuff.  These were real old fashioned hillbillies.  The dad and boys were so dirty ya did not want to be within 50 feet of them downwind (and that is NO exaggeration).  One day I accidently knocked an envelope off my desk into the trashcan ... An envelope containing 14,000 bucks.  A few days later, one of the sons came into my office and told me "Sir, I do not think you intended for this to get thrown away" and handed me the envelope.  If he had not shown up, I would eventually have realized the envelope was gone, but would have had no idea what happened to it.  These people were poor as dirt, but as honest as the day is long.  They also used to borrow money from me on occasion.  They would sit in my office, hat in hand, and ask to borrow 200 or 300 for a week or so.  They would show up with a shotgun or something for me to hold on to... Which I eventually told them to stop doing since I was not a pawn shop.  Anyway, they would promise to pay on the first of the month (The old man had a military pension each month, so I knew they would have the money)... And come the first of the month, I would pull into my parking lot, and they would be standing there waiting for me to open the doors so they could pay me.

They are dirty, stinky, uneducated, and poor... And I am prouder to call them my friends than I am of any of my rolex and 3-piece suit wearing attorney or banker friends.  A price cannot be placed upon honor and integrity.

There is an old saying, "Beauty come from within." When we are good to others I think this naturally makes us look good to others.

I believe to look good is important to attract people to you, then the they can get to know you and see that you truly are a good person inside as well!

It is better to be good because no one will like you if your mean and self centered. But one way that attracts people to you, is looks, good looks, but they won't stay if you have a bad attitude.
