Nicotine causes the level of cholesterol to rise and It can damage the lining of blood vessels causing heart failure, hardening of the arteries, cerebrovascular diseases such as Stroke. Smoking while pregnant can lead to stillbirth, miscarriage, low birth weight. Smoking around babies and kids can lead to a whole host of problems that can start right away or cause problems later in life. It's never too late to stop smoking and It's always a better idea to never start.
