Why Are Prices Going Sky-high?

There are many causes for higher pricing.  One is that the U.S. Dollar is at an all-time low.  You may have noticed in your grocery stores that many items were in English and Spanish - that is because it was cheaper for the store to buy from Mexico and sell it here for the same inflated price we're used to paying.  The U.S. Also buys from Canada and those items will have English and French on the labels.  Now our dollar is lower, for example, than the Canadian dollar so the grocery stores have to eat some of their profits.

More demand for products, i.e. More people.  Their are more factual reasons also.  The stores are going to charge whatever the market will bear.

We have an excellent dollar store here that carries all kinds of fresh produce, canned goods, beverages, cereal, coffee, - just about everything so I go there first when I do my grocery shopping and then I go to the cheapest grocery supermarket in town.  Shop around - it really does make a difference where you shop.  I save around $50 from shopping at FoodCo instead of Albertson's.  Also it helps to plan your meals.  

All in all, I sure do agree with you especially about food prices - sky high.

You are right on the money(or it's deflating value  in this country) -we all had to pick up extra jobs on the side just to pay our bills (3 out of 4 people in my department)!the war is the biggest reason why prices are sky-high!

I know Kid you saddle up, and picture you and I ridding down the Beautiful Apache Trail for about 100 miles talking about things that mean nothing at all, and have God all around us, with Mother Nature everywhere! Then we come to the reservoir, and water the horses and go swimming! Not a care in the world! If that isn't heaven I'll bet it's close!

It's real easy KID the rich want to be richer, so they can make more money! And they don't care about you!
I didn't need my buddy Dave for that one, and this is his area!

I think it may be because min. Wage went up in July.  It'll will happen again in July 2008 and again in July 2009.  Defeats the purpose of min. Wage.
