Well first you have to want it, really want to be the best! Then just practice and exercise. Repeat drills that you know or do in practice, if you have practices. Then just have fun, dream, and believe in yourself!

Defiantly exercise, try to do a lot of core work. You should have to be able to run long distance but you should not focus on that, because you'll never be on the ice for longer than a minute. During practice try to focus on one thing, stop stars, shooting, passing, and skating. After time you will get everything up.
