Brigg is a market town in North Lincolnshire. Brigg's takes it's name from the bridge which crosses the River Ancholme. This was constructed to make getting from East to West more easy. Brigg is one of those classic towns which is steeped in history. In the days before it had a bridge people would wade across the ford. This goes was way back in the 11th century. To this day Brigg is still well loved for it's shops, restaurants and of course it's river.
