Answer Question

The weaning process begins at 3-4 weeks of age and finishes between 6-8 weeks of age.  Initially offer soft canned food gruel.  By 6-8 weeks of age puppies should be on hard, high quality puppy food and need to be fed 3-4 times a day in small amounts.
The puppies will be ready for their new owners at 6-8 weeks of age.  Vaccinations start when they are separated from their mother--at 6-8 weeks of age.  They will get a distemper/parvo combination vaccine every 3-4 weeks until they are 16 weeks old.  They will need rabies between 3-6 months of age.  Puppies should be dewormed twice.
Contact your veterinarian for further information.  Most veterinarians have puppy packs and a lot of good information about having puppies.  The puppies should also be examined by a veterinarian while still weaning to make sure they are healthy and growing well.
