How Many Atoms Of C Are Present In 275.13 G Of CO?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    When the molecular mass of a molecule is expressed in grams, it is called molar mass. The molar mass of CO is 28 grams.

    moles= mass/ molar mass

    moles= 275.13 grams/ 28 grams

    moles= 9.83

    Number of atoms in one mole of CO= 6.022 x 1023 atoms

    Number of atoms in 9.83 moles of CO= 9.83* 6.022 x 1023 atoms

    Number of atoms in 9.83 moles of CO= 59.17 x 1023 atoms
