Although Londonderry/Derry is only a small city, little more than a big village really, it has a number of very interesting landmarks, which might be worth visiting if you were a visitor to this slightly backwards but reasonably little hamlet.
Derry has a main road running through it, this is called The Strand Road, I presume because it runs along the strand of the river Foyle.
On the strand road, there are a number of points of interest, the large grey council offices and the fortress-like police station where many a catholic has been given a beating. The River Foyle is a river that runs into the Atlantic Ocean. It is wide and dirty and full of bodies.
The beautiful old Magee College building on Rock Road is now a part of the University of Ulster, and amazingly underneath the car park is a second world war secret bunker!
