    The largest freshwater lake on earth is Lake Superior in Canada.

    The longest river on earth is the River Nile, which runs through parts of Africa.

    The largest river (volume of water) is the Amazon River in South America. It carries 200 times more water than the Nile.

    The highest waterfalls in the world are the Angel Falls in Venezuela, South America.

    The deepest (and possibly oldest) lake is Lake Baikal in Russia. Scientists believe it was formed between 20 and 30 million years ago and that there are ancient fish at the bottom which would if someone were to take them to the surface just fall apart because of the drop in pressure. It is 1.5 km deep.

    The largest ocean is the Pacific Ocean. The definition of Pacific is peaceful.

    The deepest part of all the oceans is the Marianas Trench in the Pacific Ocean. It is approximately 11km deep.

    The country with the largest population is China.

    The most populated city is Tokyo, in Japan.
