If you are referring urine infection for urinary tract infection then usually it can take 5-7 days for complete healing with amoxicillin. There are many types of urinary tract infections like urethritis, cystitis, and pyelonephritis. There are many bacteria which can cause urinary tract infection. These bacteria can be both gram positive and gram negative. Gram negative bacteria are difficult to treat.
Selection of antibiotics to treat any infection is made by culture sensitivity test which can tell type of bacteria responsible for infection and most effective antibiotic. UTI can easily treated with oral antibiotics. You are using injection which means either you are having kidney infection or gram negative bacterial infection. So, use injections for 2 days more and then shift to oral antibiotics for 3-5 days.
