Please use an alternative form of protection for the 1st full cycle of your pills, then you should be okay. Just remember the pill is only for birth control, it does not protect you from STD's.

It takes about a month, so you should wait until you have had a full cycle before attempting unprotected sex. Make sure you know your partner, as the pill only prevents pregnancy, and even then may not be totally effective, especially if you take antibiotics, will weaken and once again, you may be able to get pregnant
