What Is Meant By Product Vs Process?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

A product is anything which can be offered to satisfy a want or a need. In the retailing business, a product is also called a merchandise. They are the raw materials and then are sold as finished goods.

A process on the other hand is an organized system through which an organization carries out its operations. It is also defined as a sequence of changes of a real object. Every process model has differentiating input and distinguished output variables.

For instance, a car is a product and the system through which it is manufactured is a process. Therefore we can say that products are made through processes.
