The mathematical constant Pi basically is an irrational real number, which is roughly equivalent to 3.14159, which is said to be the ratio of a circle's perimeter to its diameter in Euclidean geometry and has quite a few uses in mathematics, physics and engineering.

It also well known as Archimedes constant and also as Ludolph's number. According to Euclidean plane geometry, Pi is illustrated moreover as the fraction of a circle's circumference to its width, or as the proportion of a circle's area to the area of a square whose surface is the radius.

Appropriate to the transcendental aspects of Pi, there are no closed form expressions for the number in the shape of algebraic numbers and functions. The initial numeric approximation of Pi is almost definitely the value 3.
