Other that science fiction, the genre that appealed Isaac Asimov most was history; you can find numerous books that are being written by him on the subject of history and even in his science fiction, he used a lot historical data to make every character an authentic one. Some of the history books that got widespread fame include The Greeks: A Great Adventure, The Roman Empire and The Near East: 10,000 Years of History. He also wrote Asimov Guide to the Bible that has two volumes in it and is covering both Old and New Testaments.

In science fiction his prime interest was the kind that can be considered as hard core kind but a few of his work can be considered in the popular science category also. Other than that he wrote some text books also that are related to science.
