It was passed in congress before obama, They have not decided yet when and how they will be released but I wish they would hurry up!

I agree I wish they would hurry up too! I could use that stimulus check right now ,and I don't see the purpose of waiting ? The economy isn't getting any better by waiting!
I filed my taxes today,they told me we were going to get a rebate check,didn't say when and didn't say how much.I will have nothing left out of my income tax where I haven't worked steady and owe rent in the amount of 3000 dollars,I feel the same way,wish they would hurry up and make up their minds on it.
I heard by may the checks were going to mailed out, but only people that receives SSI got their checks.... What about single parents that are employed do we get a check????? Still waiting !!!!
If you are referring to checks based on 2008 taxes, there is no definite determination at this time whether or not there will be a stimulus rebate. If you are referring to checks based on 2007 taxes that were filed late, those checks will be issued after the returns have been processed, starting some time in January.

It hasn't even been decided if there are going to be any stimulus checks next year. Obama wants to do something, but we won't know for awhile yet. It's not an every year thing. It's only happened twice so far.

There will not be a check. It is a tax cut. That means about $10-$20 tax cut on ur payroll check each week. $10 for single ppl and $20 for the married ppl. So ya the check that everyone is waiting on and needs looks as if none of us are getting. We once again get screwed. Figures.
