Where Is Hood River?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Hood River basically is a stream of the Columbian River found in the North-western Oregon in the United States of America. It is nearly forty kilometres long. The river descends from wilderness parts like the Cascade Range close to Mount Hood and passes through the agricultural Hood River Valley to connect to the Colombian River in the Columbian River Gorge.

It rises in three different sections north of Mount Hood, in Hood River County which 50 miles east of Portland. The Middle Fork is roughly 10 miles long and rises in numerous small branches on the North Flank of Mount Hood, in the Mount Hood Wilderness.

The East Fork is said to be fifteen miles long and rises towards the Eastern section of the mountain in Mount Hood National Forest and surges towards the North, into the Upper Hood River Valley.
