What Does The "Red Balloon", Or "Red Teardrop" Mean In Google Earth Legend?

I saw a U.S. Map which was marked by "Red Balloons" or "Red Teardrops". The map is a .jpg. I have seen these images on Google Earth in the past but cannot find them now.

The "red balloons or teardrops" are basically just markers that, depending on your type of search, mark various landmarks or points in a journey on the map.

The letters within the markers on the left hand key match to the same letters on the main map image. There is additional information about each marker within the left key too.
