Why Does My Tanning Bed Blow A Breaker?

I have a 120 watt tanning bed that will run for about 3 or 4 mins, maybe not that long, then it blows the breaker in my room, can i add a larger breaker?

Depends on the wiring. Another concern is what else is on that circuit. It might be better to add a separate circuit and breaker for the tanning bed.

120 watts in the "running" load.  There's probably a power surge each time it cycles "on".

Are you certain it's only 120 watts? That seems very low.

The item should be the only active item on its circuit (unplug the rest) and should be plugged in directly, rather than with an extension cord.

Only a licensed electrician should fuss with switching breakers.  If the circuit wasn't designed for a higher load, switching to a heavier "breaker" may be inviting an electrical fire inside the walls of the building.
