What Was The Battle Of Agincourt?

    This was a famous battle between the French and English.  It took place in the year 1415 on the 25th of October and got it name from the place of its outset that was the village of Agincourt in the Pas-de-Calais, France.  One of the most proverbial battles in the account of both British and French history, the vitality of the war is attributed to the heightened havoc that was waged on the French by the longbowmen of England.

    Under the leadership of King Henry V, the English army launched the attack.  In the area of Normandy, King Henry had already taken over Harfleur, nevertheless his strategy revolved around the intention to return back to his homeland through Calais.  This intention was precluded by the information that the French army had blocked the road that led to the very port.  After days of fighting, the Englishmen were very tired and also there was paucity of food.  Even then King Henry with aegis from Fate and his own brilliance won the Battle of Agincourt.
