Online dating is perfectly safe as long as you adhere to some common sense rules. Registering on most sites takes a small amount of time. Once your account is set up you'll be able to create a personal profile. This is used so that you can show other browsers on the site what you like/dislike. You'll be able to select the area you're from. This is important as most people are searching for new friends in their region.

When creating your profile it's important to not use your real name. Don't add your phone number or any other personal details which you're not happy with letting other strangers know. Once you've set your profile up you can begin searching for people which fit your requirements. You'll be able to search by age, location, gender, tastes, inclination.

Online dating isn't safe. You have to use your common sense. Behind a screen, you can be whoever you want to be and lead the other person on thinking your a really nice guy or woman. But they turn out to be a psycho path who maybe stalking you over the computer and etc. and what if that person wants to meet you offline then what? There have been people who have been molested, raped, and even killed from offline meetings. I mean talking to someone online, that's cool, but if you want to date someone eventually that person is gonna wanna know who is this person behind the screen and they are gonna want to meet you. You're better off dating someone you know in your state and city. Think smart.
