Do Cats Attack Leather Lounge Furniture?

Now that my cat has completely destroyed my old lounge furniture, I need to get some new stuff. We don't want to torment her with water sprays - we just want to get something nice but indestructible.

Get a hunk of tree for her to scratch on and she'll leave the furniture alone. I have a 3' high and 8" across log in the corner of the living room and it works. Make sure it has a rough bark she can get her claws into. It also helps to rub some catnip into the bark crevasses to attract her.

Thanks, I think that's an answer! We've tried carpet before but not actual logs.

Well, leather is harder to rip open ; especially depending on the thickness of it. Is this cat still a kitten? OR, young? {[Because that could be the culprit right there! Younger kittens/cats don't understand ; & a lot of them are just having fun or testing out their new claws, you know?]} The best I can give you is possibly consider having your cat declawed. -Unless of course, she[/he] used its teeth ; which, in that case, idk what to do. Lolz

Well she's 5 years with a mental age of 5 months. I couldn't possibly declaw her, it would be too mean. But anyway I reckon she uses any weapons at her disposal including psychological games.
