If your dog has an infection I suggest taking it to the vets to get antibiotics.

You need to keep it hydrated as best you can, or let it eat a popsicle.If it gets worse bring it to a vet asap.

Your dog needs to be seen by a vet ASAP. Get some electrolyte fluids in him. You could use stuff that parents give young children with diarrhea.
