    Anne Frank is one of the few people, who gained fame posthumously, that is, after her death. Ann Frank was a Jewish girl who was born in Frankfurt am Main in Germany in 1929. Her family fled to Amsterdam in 1933 when Hitler gained power and Jews were being persecuted but Holland was also was also captured in the World war. The family had to hide in a building in 1942 but they were captured after 2 years and sent to a concentration camp. This is where she died in 1945 due to typhus. After the war, her father returned to Amsterdam and he found Anne Franks diary in which she had written about her days in hiding in Amsterdam. Her father got it published in 1947 and it was translated into English in 1952 as “the diary of a young girl”. In her diary, she ahs described about how she and her family were spending their time, how they were surviving.
