I Have A Miniature Daschund, Dotson... Yesterday We Noticed That He Has A Huge Knot On His Left Side Of His Neck. Can You Help Me With This?

Has he had vaccinations recently, especially rabies?  Sometimes a lump forms due to a reaction to the vac it can also form if the vaccine was not given properly, either by repeated attempts to pierce the skin or just a poor job of administering it.

I would probably let your veterinarian know the lump is present and if it doesn't go away within two weeks, have the pet seen again.

My dog has a growth on his neck too. I took him to the vet and had the growth tested to make sure that it wasn't cancerous. It turned out to be a non cancerous growth and the doc advised me not to remove it as it can cause it to spread and become a problem. The dog is a happy old guy and the growth has shrunken from the size of a quarter down to about the size of a pea. I do suggest you have it looked at by a vet and I hope it's no big deal cause they become part of the family.
