I will be driving from Detroit, Michigan to myrtle beach, south Carolina and would like to know how many driving miles are there? How much would it cost in gas approx.?

From downtown Detriot to downtowm Myrtle Beach is approximately 840 miles. If you car gets 20 miles per gallon and you are lucky enough to find fuel at $4.00 per gallon then that would be 42 gallons x $4 = $168 dollars.
For roundtrip $336 + you might as well figure a cushion for local driving and gas price differences of $64 dollars (that's about 18 gallons). I would allow myself $500 for a round trip for fuel.
