Also under sinks, in both kitchen and bath. Leaks under tubs/showers. I f you have damp areas in your walls, it can grow up the wall behind dressers, bookshelves etc. If it's ugly and NOT dangerous mold it can be cleaned with bleach/water solution. Make sure you know first. Because it can make your whole family sick-before you even know why. Please be careful

You will only find mold after mold spores have created enough spores to make mold visible. Mold itself does not make you sick, but certainly the spores do. Not everyone and not every mold can induce illness. Black mold has the worst reputation and that is in 98% of NEW homes. It's trapped behind the walls because homes that are built while the weather is damp or wet are trapping moisture in between the outer walls and the inner walls.
It grows on the paper backing of sheetrock, the foam that has been being widely used as insulation and to wrap ductwork. It can conceivably grow anywhere there is moisture trapped and it has to be remediated to be removed. The areas that are showing mold have to be taken out completely. Bleach does not resolve the problem.
You can check on this at www.moldremediation.com to find more answers and products for removal. A mold remediation is a person who does scientific testing to accurately evaluate the air quality in a home or business to determine the amount of mold in the air. The ductwork in a home or business is a hiding place for a lot of the mold spores that keep many people sick without knowing it. Good luck to you.

In any dark, damp area, or an area that has been "flooded' or has had a bad leak. Look under carpets, flooring etc. also around window framing & basements etc.
