What Does Non-specific Mean?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

You can use the adjective non-specific for something that is not clearly defined and most of the times when you are using the term you should use it only before the noun. As unless something is described in context it is not possible for anybody to understand the term, given below is a sentence that can help you in understanding the word well: The speech of the candidate was non-specific. The above-mentioned sentence says that the speech that the person made was not on something particular and it was only on general things.

Sometimes the word is also used for in medical terms and you can use it for pain or disease that is caused by more than one reason.
