A good school is all different things to different people.
A good school may not be particularly academic but rather a place were the vast majority of the pupils are happy and content.
The philosophy may be to try and develop the potential of all the students each to their own ability which is a commendable philosophy.
A good school is one that has a philosophy of education in many senses, Education on an academic, personal, and social level. The philosophy of equal educational achievement for all regardless of gender, economic status, religion and social stautus is for the general good. Education can be for vocational , personal and social achievement but education for it's own sake, regardless of the career oppurtunties can be a good philosophy too. The school which can balance many of the above and produce happy, well balanced, motivated students who don't ever feel like failures has a good philosophy too.
