Who Is Colin Ferguson?

Colin Ferguson was born on the 14th of January in the year 1958 in Kingston, Jamaica. He was an American mass murderer, who was involved in the shootings of the Long Island Rail Road in Nassau County, New York on the 7th of December in the year 1993. As soon as the train stopped at the Merillon Avenue Station, Ferguson pulled out his shot gun and started shooting passengers and people at the station randomly. He continued with his killing spree till he was finally over powered and stopped by three passengers named, Kevin Blum, Mark McEntee and Mike O'Connor. He killed six people and wounded nineteen others before he was stopped.

During his trial, his defense had prepared grounds for insanity as he had been subjected to black rage by the white population. Ferguson insisted that he would represent himself and fired his lawyers. During his defense he used baseless arguments as he was not experienced at all and did not know how to go about things and therefore the court overruled all his objections. Finally he was convicted for the murder and death of six passengers who died of their injuries. He was also convicted for attempting murder and wounding nineteen passengers during the mass murder. He was given fifty years of prison and is currently serving his sentence at the Attica Correctional Facility in the upstate of New York.
