The best digital camera currently in the market is "Canon Power Shot SD800 IS". It has a Resolution of 7.1 mega pixels and price is around $300.It has one of the best image quality.

The Nikon D50..you'll be amazed with the photos...they look professional. I have had mine for a year now, and I'll never own another brand

There are quite a few choices out there. Google to Steves Digital Camera.com and do a search for your own needs. An embarrassingly good camera for the price is the Canon A570 IS, which is 7.1 Mp and has an image stabilized lens. The results are quite professional! And it's not very expensive either.

I'm quite impressed and happy with my Nikon Coolpix P4, 8.1 megapixels which was a step up from my previous Nikon Coolpix.
