She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth & wants to inject it. Is there a common cause for this with teacups? She is 3 months old, I was told.

This is not any abnormality. It is possible that she has been trained for picking up things from the carpet and floors. There is also possibility that she wanted to play.
It will be good to bring some toys for her and play with her. When ever she tries to pick things from the floor, you should divert her attention towards her toys and start to play. This practice will enable her to pick up her own things.

Don't leave things lying around that are good and buy it some toys to pick up and play with instead.
