How Do You Get Rid Of Ear Mites? I Have Used Products That Say They Kill Mites And I Have Used Q-tips And Washing Them With A Rinse; But The Mites Are Not Gone.

My cat is still making his ears go back if you get near them to pet him and he is scratching at his ears. I also put frontline on him, will that kill mites? My cat was sick and was drooling, but now he is much better; I think he had a reaction to the Frontline.

Ear mites are common in the cats and are contagious. Ear mites if left untreated, can develop secondary infections like bacterial or fungal. The ear mites in cats form wax and you can feel bad odor from the ear.
You can not treat the ear mites completely by yourself because before start of medicine, you need to clean the wax from the deep inside of ear. This can be done by the vet otherwise you can damage her ear.
After this use of drops for one month will completely treat the mites until new exposure from other cat.

Walmart has a homeopathic medicine for ear mites.Mineral oil will sooth the ear canal and prevent the mites from eating as they can't survive in an oily residue
